Photos of Club members on the green

Members visiting the Clubhouse recently will have seen a remarkable book of photos of Club members in action.

The photos were taken by Richard Phillips, himself a member of the Club and a regular visitor to the green with his camera during home matches. They show a wide range of members undertaking their deliveries, or contemplating them ahead of time or just afterwards, and constitute valuable and well-composed, professional quality studies of the concentration that is required of bowlers in competition. Apart from spotting themselves and other team members, Club members will find plenty to enjoy about the photos as well as plenty to learn - and there is good humour in some of the selections, too.

The book is not for sale but, if you haven't yet had a look, do pop into the Clubhouse when you can: the book is on the table in front of the kitchen counter.
