Friendlies

In addition to our teams, the Club also plays friendly matches (both home and away) with a selection of other bowling clubs largely from the wider area: matches are fixed well in advance and calls for participation extend right across the Club, with sign-up available in the Clubhouse.

Bowlers of all abilities and experience are welcome to play in the friendlies; and joining in is a good way for new bowlers to taste match competition in a relaxed, friendly (it does what it says on the tin!) and relatively non-competitive environment.

The friendlies that have been arranged for 2026 are as follows (all matches take place on Sundays):

10 May 2.00: Andover v Hungerford

24 May 2.00: Thatcham v Andover (6 triples)

14 Jun 2.00: Andover v Kintbury (4 triples)

26 Jul 2.30: Andover v St. Mary Bourne v Andover (6 mixed triples)

16 Aug 2.00 Devizes v Andover (6 mixed triples)

13 Sep 2.00 Andover v Parkside (TBC; 4 mixed rinks)

Sheets for the first two friendlies on this list are already up in the Clubhouse so do add your name if you can play.
