TVBC on the green

Members of Test Valley Borough Council's Sports and Development team were given a warm and sunny welcome to the green this afternoon to try their hand at bowls. Following a team meeting held in the existing Clubhouse, those present took a walk around the site of the new Clubhouse and splash pad area in Vigo Park - plans for which were submitted last week - and then enjoyed a sandwich and homemade cake lunch prepared and served by Club Secretary Sue Milton and Bar Manager Val Carnegie.

Afterwards the team came on the green and, under the guidance of the Club's friendly and experienced coaches and bowlers, had a go at bowling, a number of them showing great promise, as well as a general chat around the contribution that bowling can make to the community and to keeping fit.

The team are welcome back to the Club at any time and we all hope you enjoyed the day and the experience.
