Sponsor evening

On Thursday evening 8 February we had a talk by Julie Clapperton from Sarah Quirk Wealth Associates one of our sponsors, who gave a very informative presentation. They are a wealth management company who advise people on financial and asset matters.

This was followed by a very interesting talk by members of the Urban Search And Rescue (U.S.A.R.) dogs team. There are twenty teams around the UK who are attached to a Fire Service. They also respond to disasters around the world, for example earthquakes and hurricanes. This was followed with a demonstration by the team with their dogs who are Hampshire based but cover the southern region of the UK from Cornwall to Kent. To conclude the team brought in a couple of puppies who are in training. They were a delight and maybe should be considered for retrieving our woods if the go astray!
