Novices competition 2024

This competition, open to all those in their first three seasons of bowling and who haven't yet won a competition, attracted 20 entrants this year, drawn into four groups of five. Qualification was tough, with only the group winners progressing into the semi-finals.

Group winners were as follows:

1 - John Cocks

2 - Iain Anderson

3 - Dave Godfrey

4 - Dave Taplin

The semi-finals saw John Cocks matched with Dave Godfrey; and Iain Anderson with Dave Taplin, out of whom John and Dave Taplin emerged triumphant and will contest the final on our Finals Day on 7 September. Good luck to both; and commiserations to Dave Godfrey and Iain but a hearty congratulations on going this far in the competition.
