Invitation Pairs

1 September saw the 2nd attempt to complete the Invitation Pairs competition; rain having stopped play on 8 July.

Some great games were played, which was challenging in the heat - such a contrast to the first attempt! - but lovely to see so many couples taking part. The final was contested by Linda Sturt and Paul Williams, and Sue and Pete Anthony. Some great bowls were played by all four bowlers, but and Pete were unstoppable, winning the final.

Congratulations to Sue & Pete and all who took part; to Cynthia & David for running the competition; and for our greenkeepers, as the green was bowling well.
